Hello! New to this site.. My  23 year old son was sentenced to 6-15 years in prison July 6th. He is at the Oaks correctional facility in Manistee michigan. I am awaiting visitation clearance and can't wait to see him.

    welcome to the group Michelle . I am so sorry to hear your son's sentence the first time is so very hard on us moms. my son was 18 first time, he served 5 years for theft. i thought i would surely die but it's 18 years later and he has been locked up more than free. currently in prison for 2 years then facing charges for wreck he caused while messed up on drugs. he's looking at 12plus years for that charge. I did not die and have found this awesome group of moms who help me in so many ways. i pray you find support and love from these moms. prayers for you and your precious son.
